Built for how physiotherapy clinics actually run
Fast WhatsApp replies to referral and fee questions, follow-up when a treatment plan stops early, honest reviews, and a Google profile that stays current.
The jobs that decide whether a patient starts treatment
Referral and enquiry messages that need a same-day reply
Patients come from a doctor's referral chit or from messaging a clinic directly on WhatsApp, asking what a session costs, how many sessions a plan might take, and whether they should bring an existing X-ray or MRI report. The clinic that answers first usually gets the booking.
Patients who stop a treatment plan early
Physiotherapy runs on a plan of several sessions, and many patients stop once the pain eases, even when the physiotherapist advised more sessions. A clinic that does not follow up loses these bookings quietly, one patient at a time.
Missed calls while a therapist is with a patient
A therapist treating a patient one-on-one cannot pick up the phone, and a front desk handling the room cannot always answer either. If nobody calls back quickly, the person calling usually tries the next clinic instead.
Being found and trusted online
Patients compare nearby physiotherapists on Google Maps and Practo, and some ask an AI assistant like ChatGPT for a suggestion. An outdated Google profile or a page with no reviews works against the clinic before a patient even calls.
What changes at your clinic
Referral and enquiry messages that need a same-day reply
The WhatsApp AI is trained on the clinic's own pricing and services, so it answers a referral or fee question straight away and moves the conversation toward booking, instead of the patient waiting for a callback.
Patients who stop a treatment plan early
Medslots' reactivation reaches patients who have gone quiet on WhatsApp, so someone who stopped a plan early hears from the clinic again instead of being forgotten, and the physiotherapist or staff can take over the conversation at any time.
Missed calls while a therapist is with a patient
If a call is missed, Medslots can take over and follow up with the caller on WhatsApp, working out whether they are a new enquiry or an existing patient, so the missed call does not turn into a lost patient.
Being found and trusted online
Medslots keeps the clinic's Google Business Profile, services, hours and posts current automatically, asks patients who visited to share their experience with no incentive attached, and works on how the clinic appears when patients ask AI assistants for a recommendation.

Practical guides on referrals, follow-ups, reviews and the rules, written for physiotherapy clinics in India.

How do you increase patients in a physiotherapy clinic in India?
Most physiotherapy clinics already have the patients they need, they just lose them along the way. Reply fast to WhatsApp and referral enquiries, keep your Google profile accurate, ask every patient for a review the same way, and follow up anyone who stops a treatment plan early. NCAHP's draft ethics code limits how you can advertise.

How should a clinic follow up with a patient after treatment on WhatsApp?
A good post-treatment follow-up is short, timed to something specific (the day after a procedure, a follow-up visit that's due, or a treatment plan left unfinished), and sent only to patients who agreed to hear from the clinic on WhatsApp. It checks how the patient is doing and offers a slot. It never names a diagnosis or answers a symptom; that goes to the doctor.

What should a WhatsApp recall message to a past patient say?
A recall message is a short, polite reminder to a past patient that a follow-up their doctor advised may be due. Send it only to patients who agreed to hear from the clinic on WhatsApp, keep it about their care rather than discounts, and stop the moment anyone asks. Samples for five specialties are below.

Why do patients miss appointments, and how do you reduce no-shows?
Patients mostly miss appointments because they forgot or something came up, not because of distance, and the risk rises sharply the longer the gap between booking and the visit. Clinics cut no-shows most by booking sooner where they can, sending one specific reminder close to the date, and making rescheduling as easy as replying to a WhatsApp message.

Google Business Profile for doctors and clinics in India: set up, keep current, avoid problems
A Google Business Profile is the free listing that shows your clinic on Google Maps and Search, with hours, phone, directions and reviews. Add or claim the clinic at business.google.com, verify it, then keep hours, services and photos accurate. Use the clinic's real name only; adding words like "best dentist" breaks Google's rules.

Questions physiotherapy clinics ask
Where an answer rests on a rule, the source is linked under it.
Can a physiotherapy clinic pay or accept a fee for a patient referral in India?
No. Under the National Medical Commission's Code of Medical Ethics Regulations, 2002 (clause 6.4.1), a doctor cannot give, take or ask for any gift, commission or bonus for referring a patient. This rule applies to the doctors who refer patients to a physiotherapy clinic, so a referral should never involve a payment.

Can a physiotherapy clinic advertise on Google or WhatsApp in India?
There is no settled advertising code for physiotherapists yet. The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions released a draft code of ethics for allied and healthcare professionals for public feedback, reported on 29 April 2026, which would bar soliciting patients directly or indirectly while allowing some advertising, such as when starting a practice. Keep any advertising or Google or WhatsApp content factual, and check whether a final version has been notified before running a campaign. This is not legal advice.

How should a physiotherapy clinic follow up with a patient who stops treatment early?
Message the patient once, naming the treatment plan the physiotherapist set and asking if they would like to continue, with no discount or offer attached. Only message patients who agreed to hear from the clinic, and give them a way to opt out. Handled this way, it is continuity of care, not a sales message.
Does the WhatsApp AI answer clinical questions, like whether a patient needs surgery or more sessions?
No. The WhatsApp AI handles enquiries, fees, timings and booking. Questions about diagnosis, how many sessions a patient needs, or whether they need a doctor's referral go to the physiotherapist. The doctor or therapist can take over any AI conversation at any time.
How does Medslots ask for Google reviews?
Medslots asks patients who visited the clinic to share their experience, with no incentive attached. It does not pick out only patients expected to leave a good review, because Google's policies prohibit selectively asking for positive reviews and offering incentives for reviews.
