Three things explain most of the gap: what counts as a "page", whether booking is a real working flow or a form that emails you, and whether the quote is written for a solo clinic or a hospital. None of these vendors is wrong. They are answering different questions.
What actually pushes the price up or down?
Inside any one vendor's range, the same handful of things move the number. Ask which of these your quote includes before comparing it to anyone else's.
- Number of pages. DhirajWeb's own tiers move from 5 to 7 pages at ₹18,900 to 8 to 12 pages at ₹30,000, to 8 to 15 pages with a booking flow above ₹56,000. More pages is not decoration, it's more content that has to exist first.
- Booking, not just a contact form. A form that emails you is cheap. A booking flow that checks a real calendar, blocks slots and confirms on WhatsApp is a different build, and Codingclave prices it as a separate jump between its ₹15,000 to ₹35,000 tier and its ₹40,000 to ₹85,000 tier.

- Photos. A doctor's own clinic and staff photos read as more trustworthy than stock images, and either shooting them or licensing stock ones is a line item most quotes bury inside "design".

What does a website cost every year after it's live?
This part is small money compared with the build, and worth knowing so a vendor can't pad it. Domain, hosting and SSL are commodity items with published India prices; only ongoing maintenance work varies by what you actually need done.

Published timelines cluster around two to five weeks for a straightforward clinic site, longer once booking or multi-doctor structure is involved. Use this as a rough shape, not a promise any vendor owes you.

ColorWhistle states a 2 to 5 week build window, and Codingclave's own premium-tier example was delivered in 32 days. A quote with no timeline at all, or one that promises a same-week launch for a custom multi-page build, is worth asking about directly.
What's the real hidden cost of a cheap website?
It is rarely money you pay later. It is control you never had. A ₹6,900 site and a ₹2,50,000 site can both go live looking fine; the difference shows up months later, when you try to change something and find out who actually holds the keys.
- Domain ownership. If the developer registered the domain under their own account or personal email, the clinic doesn't own its own web address. Ask for it in the clinic's or the doctor's name from day one, and get the login handed over in writing.
- Admin access. The same applies to the website's admin login and hosting account. If only the developer can log in, every future edit runs through them, whatever the site cost.
- Speed on a phone. A cheap template built without checking how it loads on an average Indian phone connection can lose the enquiry before a patient reads past the homepage; our clinic website speed and mobile checklist is the five-minute test to run before you accept a build as finished.
- A DPDP-style privacy notice. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 were notified in November 2025 and phase in duties for anyone collecting personal data online, appointment forms included. A cheap template with no privacy notice at all is a gap worth closing before launch, not after.
- The doctor's registration number. Our guide to displaying it correctly covers where NMC rules expect it; a template that has no obvious place for it is a design gap, not a legal one, but it's easier to fix before the site is built than after.
- Testimonials and before/after photos. NMC's 2002 code, regulation 7.17, restricts publishing a patient's photo or case report, in a journal or other publication, without consent, and a testimonials section sits close to soliciting under regulation 6.1. None of this means the cheap option is always wrong. A ₹6,900 template can be a perfectly fine clinic website if the domain sits in the clinic's name, the login is handed over, and the pages don't create a rule problem. The price tells you almost nothing about any of that; only asking does.
