Google review management

How should a clinic in India manage its Google reviews?

Reply to every review, never reveal anything about the patient's visit, and never pay for reviews or filter who is asked. MedSlots writes the replies, and the doctor sets how automatic they are.

Why reply to every Google review?

  • Patients read the replies as well as the reviews. An unanswered review looks like a clinic that is not paying attention.

  • A reply is public. It must not confirm that the person was a patient, or mention their condition or treatment.

What does MedSlots do with reviews?

  • It writes replies to Google reviews so none go unanswered, without giving away anything about a patient's visit.

  • You choose the level of automation: replies post by themselves (the default), you approve every reply, or anything in between.

  • It helps get genuine reviews from real patients: every patient who visited is sent a simple link to the clinic's Google profile.

  • No bought reviews and no incentives.

What rules should a clinic keep in mind?

  • Do not offer money, discounts or gifts for a review. Google's policy on fake and incentivised content bars it, so check Google's current text.

  • Do not ask only happy patients (often called review gating). Everyone who visited gets the same link.

  • Do not post reviews yourself or ask staff and family to.

  • Doctors in India are also bound by the National Medical Commission's rules on advertising and public communication. We are not lawyers, so read the current NMC text or ask your own adviser before you run any review campaign.

Who is this not for?

  • A clinic that wants guaranteed 5-star ratings, a review count by a date, or negative reviews removed. No service can promise any of these.

  • A clinic that wants to reward patients for reviews. MedSlots does not do incentives.

  • A clinic that wants to reply to reviews in a patient-specific way. Replies never give away anything about a visit.
